Spherion is seeking Data Entry Clerks for various positions, mostly afternoon and evening shifts, at a manufacturing facility in Burton, MI. We are also recruiting for similar roles in Swartz Creek, MI. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for recording shipping and receiving information and performing hands on inventory control tasks. Full training is provided, but experience with accurate data entry and working with MS Excel is preferred. Overtime is very normal, including on weekends. Candidates should apply if they are available to work more than one shift and have flexibility for overtime as well. This is a temp-hire opportunity once a reliable attendance record has been demonstrated as well as a positive work ethic.



Data Entry Clerk candidates will be required to complete computer-based testing including Data Entry and MS Excel in order to be considered for this opportunity. Failure to complete the testing within 1 week of issue will result in disqualification of candidates.



Responsibilities:

• Data Entry Clerks will be responsible for entering customer part numbers, supplier information, and other data into customer inventory management system with 100% accuracy
• Data entry administrative functions in established computer programs
• Process shipping and receiving documents and input information from the bill of lading
• Dispatch orders and provide tags for customer part selection
• Process claims for misdirected parts and use the customer system to update claim information
• Conduct quality control checks for supplier compliance

Skills:

• This job requires the ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.

Qualifications:

• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel
• Clerical or data entry experience
