Job Description

McCarthy is excited to hire full time HVAC Technicians for our commercial team. McCarthy is looking for team members that have a proven commitment to safety and can be committed to a full-time schedule in Phoenix, AZ.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems and components. 
  • Maintains tools, supplies and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items and equipment are in safe operating condition. 
  • Prepares documentation for written support and conveying information appropriately. 
  • Responds to emergency situations to resolve heating/cooling and plumbing issues. 
  • Operates heating/air conditioning and refrigeration systems and related equipment, equipment startups.
  • Create exceptional client experiences through strong relationships, knowledge of their business, and an ability to deliver impactful solutions. 
  • Coordinates own tasks with a specific range of responsibilities under established procedures.
  • Contributes to a team under general supervision of an experienced professional or manager.
  • Skilled specialist that demonstrates reliable judgment in resolving issues and making recommendations.
  • Promote a positive learning environment in mentoring and directing of apprentices.
  • Understand and implement lockout/tag-out procedures for safe and secure task(s)

Qualifications  

  • 5 or more years relevant technical training or equivalent work-related experience
  • Journeyman License preferred
  • Comprehends technical information and blueprints for quick execution.
  • Experience with RTU’s, Boilers, MAU’s, AHU’s, Fans, Pumps, Cooling Towers, VAV/FPB’s, Automation Systems, Chillers, Hydronic Systems, DX Cooling circuits and components. 
  • Demonstrates understanding of McCarthy Safety Guidelines and Procedures.
  • Exceptional safety knowledge of tools, testing devices and surroundings.
