Front-End Software Engineer who thrives in modern web development and is adaptable to evolving technologies. This position will be hybrid in Columbia, MD. While our current frontend is built in Angular 17+, we are transitioning to React (next.js). This role requires someone who can contribute effectively in both frameworks and help drive our migration process.
Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain frontend applications using Angular 17+ and React (Next.js)
- Implement efficient state management with React Query/SWR and RxJS
- Build responsive, high-performance UIs using Material UI and AG Grid
- Write clean, maintainable code with best practices in ESLint & Prettier
- Ensure high-quality standards through unit testing (Jest/Jasmine, Karma) and end-to-end testing (Cypress)
- Optimize frontend build and deployment using GitHub Actions (CI/CD) and AWS (containerized deployment)
- Collaborate with backend developers, UX designers, and product teams to deliver seamless user experiences
Candidates should have the following qualifications: - Ability to be cleared for a security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering Etc.
- Proficiency in Angular 17+ and React (Next.js) with a willingness to work in both. Strong experience with state management (React Query/SWR, RxJS) and asynchronous data handling Solid knowledge of modern UI libraries (Material UI, AG Grid)
- Experience with testing frameworks (Cypress, Jest, Jasmine, Karma)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and cloud deployment (AWS)
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
- A problem-solving mindset with a focus on performance and scalability
Candidates are desired to have the following skills: - Experience with frontend performance optimization
- Familiarity with monorepo architectures
- Prior experience in a migration project (Angular to React)

Salary Range: $70,000 to $240,000
