Leading North American environmental services company is looking to fill a Regional Account Manager position based in the Seattle, WA Area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a very successful North American environmental services company with some of the most extensive service offerings and capabilities in the industry. This is a focused sales position, selling environmental services (hazardous waste removal/disposal/recycling/incineration, etc.) to a general manufacturing marketplace in Washington State. It is an exciting, fast-paced, and challenging position, with excellent opportunity to grow the territory. It's also a solid income opportunity with excellent opportunities for career advancement. Overnight travel is expected to be very minimal, <10%.
Responsibilities: Sell a broad range of environmental services to a general manufacturing market (generators) in the territory. Sell on a commercial & consultative level to plant managers, operations managers, environmental managers, and purchasing personnel. Manage an existing territory. Prospect for and develop new opportunities at existing accounts, as well as develop new accounts. Manage pricing, trouble shooting, new service introductions, etc. Communicate effectively with management, internal support personnel, and customers. Develop and execute the sales strategy for the territory.
Requirements : 4+ years of experience working in the environmental services industry. A bachelor’s degree is required, but the concentration is open. Broad knowledge of the hazardous waste disposal industry is required, with an understanding of EPA codes, RCRA regulations, and related DOT shipping requirements. Must understand all the procedures used in the "cradle to grave" disposal process (sampling, profiling of waste streams, labeling, transport, manifests, etc.). Must also have the ability to work well cross-functionally in a large organization.
