Description We are seeking a skilled and reliable Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This role involves working in commercial environments to install, terminate, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling systems, primarily CAT 5 and CAT 6. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with structured cabling and a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices. Skills Cabling, Install, Construction, attitude, Cat6, Punchdown, Cable puller, Structured cabling, Cable tech, Telecommunication Key Responsibilities: + Install, route, and secure CAT 5/CAT 6 cables in commercial buildings. + Terminate cables at patch panels, jacks, and network equipment. + Punch down cables on 110 blocks and patch panels. + Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams. + Test and troubleshoot cable systems using appropriate tools. + Maintain a clean and organized work environment. + Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. + Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to meet deadlines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must be reliable and willing to drive to the sites with own vehicle while on contract Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Somerville, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
