Job Description

We are looking for an organized and hardworking janitor to join our company. You'll be responsible for keeping our building clean. In addition to keeping the inside of the building clean, you will be expected to keep the outside orderly, as well. Our ideal candidate is careful and thorough, cleaning and tidying the premises with great care and an eye for detail. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, so our janitor needs to be hardworking and willing to engage in a number of cleaning activities. Janitor Duties and Responsibilities

• Gather and empty trash and trash bins
• Wash windows, walls, and glass
• Create cleaning supplies restocking list
• Change light bulbs
• Notify managers when the building needs major repairs
• Keep buildings secure by locking doors
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming
• Clean spills and other hazards using squeegees and sponges
• Clean bathrooms and stock them with soap, toilet paper, and other supplies
• Other duties as assigned

Janitor Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic arithmetic and writing skills
• Previous janitorial experience or a similar role a plus
• Detail-oriented and conscientiousness
• Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team
• Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments
• Ability to follow directions from a supervisor
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism
• Able to work 4 hours per day on your feet and lift up to 30 lbs.

Compensation and Schedule.

• Part-time 20 hours per week (5 days per week – Monday through Friday, 4 hours per day), flexible daily schedule.
• $15/hour
