Assemble, fit, and maintain mechanical components, engines, pumps, valves, and machinery onboard ships and offshore vessels.
Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults in machinery and deck equipment.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals to perform accurate fitting and repairs.
Assist in the installation of new machinery or shipboard systems .
Ensure proper alignment, calibration, and functioning of mechanical equipment.
Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
Follow safety protocols, maritime regulations, and standard operating procedures .
Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and deck crew for coordinated operations.
Participate in emergency repairs and breakdown response as needed.
