About the Role:

Total Safety is looking for a DOT Driver / Air Technician to join our safety-first team!

This unique role combines professional driving duties with technical air equipment responsibilities.

As a DOT Driver, you’ll safely operate Class A CDL trucks and trailers, transporting and delivering safety equipment to job sites and customer locations.

As an Air Technician, you’ll work hands-on with life-saving equipment, performing cleaning, calibration, testing, and repairs of breathing air systems with precision and care.

Driver Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate trucks and trailers, ensuring full DOT compliance.
  • Perform pre- and post-haul safety inspections using company checklists.
  • Deliver and pick up equipment on schedule with accurate documentation.
  • Inspect returned equipment for damage or wear.
  • Complete all DOT and company-required paperwork.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance.
  • Assist with facility operations including stocking, staging, and loading equipment.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs when needed.


Air Technician Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, clean, service, and test SCBA and other breathing air equipment.
  • Maintain and repair breathing air regulators, reducers, and manifolds.
  • Conduct detailed functional testing and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Prepare repair quotes and communicate findings with customers.
  • Accurately complete inspection, repair, and billing documentation.
  • Support shop operations by keeping equipment ready-to-use and work areas organized.

  • Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement (required).
