Main Responsibilities
Qualified candidates will be responsible for unloading barges, loading, and unloading bulk liquid trailers, basic maintenance activities, certain manufacturing activities, upkeep of operational documents, and promoting a safe work environment by adhering to Delta Companies safe work practices and watching out for fellow employees. Training and guidance will be provided.

Qualifications and Competencies
Mechanical experience: welding, pipe fitting, and other mechanical experience (preferred)
Commitment to being on time
Basic computer skills
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to take direction and follow instructions
Basic knowledge of general hand tools and their uses
Ability to work independently, self-start, and manage tasks with minimal supervision
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively with others in the terminal.

The employee is periodically exposed to outside weather condition, and fumes or airborne particles.
*This job sometimes requires overtime including working weekends and holidays, and rotating work shifts to provide continuous Coverage for customer delivery/pickup. The employee's daily starting and quitting times may need to be changed in order to meet changing business requirements.
