Job Description

Cyber Security Engineer Location Springfield, VA : Overview: Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer on a contract providing Network and Cybersecurity services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support transport and cybersecurity information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, inclusive of new facilities and building constructions to support the IC mission. The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally. Responsibilities:
  • Designs, builds, implements, and maintains infrastructure.
  • Matures the automation efforts of the lifecycle of a server including onboarding, patching, and sunsetting.
  • Helps development teams onboard applications to Kubernetes infrastructure.
  • Builds and maintains kubernetes infrastructure.
  • Uses and administers automation tools such as, Ansible and Salt.
  • Writes documentation and provides training around automation tools.
  • Ensures all authored code is well documented and version controlled appropriately via git.
  • Resolves escalated issues and perform root cause analysis for complex issues.
  • Supports development teams by ensuring the supporting CI/CD infrastructure is performant, stable, and kept up-to-date.
  • Interacts with both internal and external customers during all project phases, from planning to maintenance.
  • Be mindful of customer needs and clearly communicates complex information.
  • Demonstrates a high attention to detail, examining every aspect of the system.
  • Exercises strong time management skills by taking on multiple projects simultaneously while debugging issues reported by customers.
  • Be attentive to communication and productivity tools ensuring inquiries are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Recommends system improvements and changes to systems, as needed.
  • Participates in an on-call rotation including nights/weekends.
  • Qualifications: Clearance Required: TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI poly. Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree with minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
    • 5+ years of Systems Engineer or similar experience.
    • Advanced knowledge, including 4+ years of experience, in one or more of the following areas: Kubernetes.
    Required Certifications:
    • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II and CSSP Infrastructure Support certifications.
    Required Skills:
    • Advanced understanding of Linux.
    • Infrastructure as Code, specifically managing Salt or Ansible.
    • Experience working with automation tools such as Ansible.
    • Experience with one or more scripting languages, specifically YAML, Python, Bash, and/or Ruby.
    • Experience using version control tools such as Git.
    • Willingness to work on-call rotation including nights/weekends.
