Job Title: Cash Application Specialist
Location: Chicago, IL (hybrid schedule)
Pay Range: $25-28/hr

Role Overview:
Brilliant Financial Staffinghas been engaged in the search for a Cash Application Specialist with Workday experience, for one of our clients in the public relations and marketing industry, located in Chicago. The Cash Application Specialist will be brought in on a contract basis during the Workday implementation, and report to the AR Manager. Qualified candidates will be considered immediately and begin the interview process.

Cash Application Specialist Responsibilities:

• Accurately post daily cash receipts from multiple payment sources, including ACH, wire transfers, credit cards, and lockbox deposits.
• Reconcile payments to customer accounts, ensuring correct application to invoices and accounts receivable ledgers.
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, payment discrepancies, and short pays in a timely manner.
• Communicate with customers, banks, and internal departments (collections, billing, customer service) to resolve payment issues or missing remittance details.
• Maintain detailed documentation of payment activity and adjustments for audit and reporting purposes.
• Assist with special projects, audits, and other accounting duties as assigned.

Accounts Receivable Clerk Qualifications:

• 2+ years of global cash application experience
• Experience working with Workday is required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
